Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is hiring Protectors to join a field team in Ohio. You will set up and remove cones, signs, and barricades, and direct traffic with stop/slow paddles, while enforcing safety rules.

Training is provided, with overtime opportunities and a range of benefits. The role requires working outdoors in all weather and readiness for variable shifts, including nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and be able to stand, walk, and work outdoors for long hours.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds and work in traffic with safety protocols.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test; punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove cones, signs, and barricades.
• Guide traffic with stop/slow paddles and maintain safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with crew and supervisors; keep equipment and vehicles clean and safe.

Job description

Role Overview

Protectors work with a team at various job sites to manage traffic safety.

No prior experience or degree is required, as comprehensive training is provided.

Key responsibilities include setting up and removing cones, signs, and barricades; guiding traffic with stop/slow paddles; and maintaining safety protocols.

They communicate effectively with crew and supervisors, ensure equipment and vehicles are kept clean and safe, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Flexibility in shifts is essential, with potential night, weekend, or emergency work.

Physical stamina is necessary to stand or walk for extended periods and lift 40-50 pounds.

Safety gear such as helmets, goggles, vests, and weather-appropriate clothing are supplied; steel-toe boots are required.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $18.36–$20.07 per hour, with overtime opportunities and pay increases within the first year.
