Job summary

Livingston International is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of customs transactions and post-entry activities. You will work with Operations, Compliance, and Post Entry to identify risks, resolve discrepancies, and support continuous improvement in a dynamic global trade environment.

We seek candidates with 5+ years in customs brokerage or trade compliance, strong knowledge of tariff classification, valuation, and origin, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance or post-entry operations.
• Knowledge of tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, free trade agreements and PGA requirements.
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Licensed Custom Broker recommended, or progress toward a recognized trade compliance certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit and review customs entries for compliance with regulations and client requirements.
• Process post-entry corrections, amendments, refunds, protests, and other regulatory filings within deadlines.
• Analyze tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin, and FTA eligibility.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, compliance issues, regulatory errors, and duty assessments.
• Review invoices, documentation, and records for completeness and accuracy.
• Support internal audits, QA reviews, and compliance monitoring activities.
• Communicate with internal teams to obtain information and provide status updates.
• Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with special projects, process improvements, training initiatives, and system enhancements.
• Stay current on changing regulations and trade programs.
