Job summary

Livingston International is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to ensure accurate, compliant, timely handling of customs transactions through post-entry activities, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work with Operations, Compliance, and Post Entry to resolve discrepancies and support regulatory filings.

The role focuses on tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, and FTAs, with a strong emphasis on risk identification, issue resolution, and timely communication

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, post-entry operations, customs audits, classification, or related import/export compliance.
• Strong understanding of customs brokerage operations, import regulations, and trade compliance principles.
• Experience handling post-summary corrections, protests, prior disclosures, duty recovery activities, or regulatory compliance reviews.
• Knowledge of tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, free trade agreements, and Partner Government Agency requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify risks, trends, and compliance concerns.
• Ability to research regulations, interpret requirements, and recommend actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit customs entries to ensure compliance with regulations, client requirements, and internal procedures.
• Process post-entry corrections, amendments, refunds, protests, and other regulatory filings within required deadlines.
• Analyze tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin, FTA eligibility, and PGA requirements.
• Investigate and resolve customs discrepancies, compliance issues, regulatory errors, and duty assessments.
• Review invoices, documentation, client instructions, and records for completeness and accuracy.
• Support internal audits, quality assurance reviews, and compliance monitoring.
• Communicate with internal teams to obtain information, resolve issues, and provide status updates.
• Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analyses, and recommend corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Assist with special projects, process improvements, training, and system enhancements.
• Stay current on changing customs regulations and compliance requirements.
