Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking a Track Laborer - Driver Eligible to join our experienced team. You will help unload and move track materials, perform track maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance across North America.

The role requires passing an English assessment, 21+ years old, and the ability to work in varying conditions. On-the-job training and opportunities for CDL during probation are available, with frequent travel and shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Regular inspections of tracks, track beds, and right-of-way to identify issues.
• Operate company vehicles as required.
• Adhere to safety rules and FRA guidelines.
• May require CDL if operating certain vehicles.
• Demonstrate teamwork and communication in a railroad setting.
• Outdoor work in varying weather and remote locations.
• Must pass English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Handle, unload and move track materials and equipment from rail cars, carts or trucks.
• Replace and repair rails, rail anchors, spikes, ballast, ties, and other track components.
• Inspect tracks and right-of-way for defects and maintain track beds.
• Follow safety procedures and railroad regulations (FRA).
• Drive company vehicles as needed and travel frequently.
• Collaborate with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and customers to resolve issues.
