Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad in Arlington, TX is seeking a Track Laborer - Driver Eligible to support track construction and maintenance across North America. You will unload and move track materials, replace rails, and inspect tracks while upholding safety standards.

Position requires meeting FMCSA medical qualifications and obtaining a CDL if needed, with opportunities to drive company vehicles. Responsibilities include digging, operating equipment, and maintaining track beds.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CDL may be needed for GVWR ≥26,000 lbs.
• Must pass MVR and FMCSA medical standards.
• English assessment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Handle and move track materials and equipment from rail cars, carts or trucks.
• Remove and replace rails, rail anchors, spikes, ballast, ties and other parts.
• Work with equipment; dig holes and trenches as needed.
• Observe track bed and right-of-way for issues or defects.
• Follow safety rules and railroad regulations (FRA).
• Develop positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and customers.
• Operate company vehicles as required.
• Maintain track beds by clearing vegetation and debris; sweep and dig as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
