Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is hiring a Maintenance Manager (2010) for Track Engineering in Philadelphia. The role oversees maintenance personnel, schedules work, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance while managing costs and training programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years advanced technical training.
• 3 years relevant operating/maintenance/inspection experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in a unionized environment.
• PC skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with labor agreements and SEPTA policies.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, train, and test newly transferred and hired employees.
• Maintain records on training progression, requisitions, schedules, and reports.
• Develop technical assistance for track maintenance and construction activities.
• Develop Training performance, retention KPI’s and adjust instruction methodology.
• Oversee major reconstruction, maintenance, and safety programs within training/compliance role.
• Monitor performance and skill levels of technical and service personnel.
