Job summary

SEPTA, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, is hiring a Project Manager (7131) for Transit Facilities to lead multiple multi-discipline projects and coordinate with agencies.

The role requires a strong engineering/architecture and construction background, excellent communication, and budgeting skills, with oversight of a PM team. Position is based in Philadelphia and offers a competitive salary with license-based increase.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering/Architecture or equivalent.
• MS in Engineering or MBA with six years responsible experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Pennsylvania PE/RA preferred.
• Experience in transit operations or railway preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of 3rd party and in-house projects to meet SEPTA requirements.
• Prepare budgets, schedules, programs, and force account plans for proposed projects.
• Prepare RFPs, manage consultant contracts, and coordinate design reviews with Operations Departments.
• Liaise with Federal, State, City and local agencies and SEPTA to coordinate design requirements.
• Represent the Authority with Special Interest Groups or local committees and present designs at public meetings.
• Supervise and review the work of engineers/architects and construction inspectors.
• Direct the project management team through design, construction and procurement stages.
• Monitor progress and performance of consultants and contractors.
