Job summary

Ontivity seeks a Tower Foreman to lead erection, construction, and maintenance of communication tower sites. You will supervise crew activities on-site and ensure OSHA safety procedures are followed. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring strong leadership and teamwork.

You will coordinate tasks, assist with equipment installation, and mentor junior crew members while traveling up to 50–90% weekly. A valid HS diploma, tower experience, and safety certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a team environment and be a valued member of the crew and the company.
• Must be able to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
• Successful completion of Safety in Rigging/Competent Rigger coursework and industrial First Aid and Rescue Training.
• Must have/obtain OSHA 10hr Training Certification. OSHA 30hr preferred.
• RF Awareness Certification.
• Ability to troubleshoot and correct mechanical or LV electrical connections.
• Exceptional knowledge of Fall Protection practices and procedures and tower life-saving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Safety First – Put safety first and production second. Always.
• On-site supervision of all tower site activities defined in the scope of work, both day and night.
• Lead work on the tower top, ensuring safe and quality installation including rigging, hoisting, cabling, and bolts.
• Install up-top equipment including masts, clamps, bracing, and antennas; assist with closeout requirements.
• Perform coax, fiber, line, and hybrid cable installations, drainage, weatherproofing, labeling and testing.
• Complete grounding, terminations, fastening, and antioxidant use; support leads and cadwelding as required.
• Assist in coordinating, preparing, and cleaning of job sites; mentor crew on safety.
