Rio Tinto Borates is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Advisor to join the People team in California. The role will design, analyze, and administer compensation and benefits programs for the U.S.

workforce while coordinating select international programs across EMEA and APAC to ensure competitiveness and compliance. You will collaborate with HR and business leaders, perform market pricing and merit processes, and help deliver a strong employee experience through data-driven insights and

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Human Resources, or related field.
• 4–7+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards.
• Working knowledge of U.S. compensation and benefits practices.
• Familiarity with Pay Equity and Transparency, ERISA, ACA, and other compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Mansioni

• Conduct job evaluations, market pricing, and benchmarking
• Support salary structure maintenance and annual merit review cycles
• Assist with administration of incentive programs
• Provide analysis and insights to support pay decisions
• Support administration of U.S. benefits programs (health, welfare, retirement, leave)
• Assist with open enrollment and employee communications
• Coordinate with brokers, vendors, and administrators
• Support compliance activities, including ERISA and ACA requirements
• Partner with HR and business leaders to provide guidance on compensation and benefits
• Support reporting, audits, and governance processes
• Contribute to process improvements and data integrity initiatives
• Participate in coordination of international benefits programs
