Job summary

PERMA-PIPE is seeking a Total Rewards Analyst to support payroll, compensation, benefits, retirement, and recognition programs across the U.S. and Canada.

The role blends data-driven analysis with administration, partnering with HR, Finance, vendors, and employees to optimize total rewards delivery and ensure regulatory compliance. You will manage weekly payroll cycles, benefits programs, and retirement plans, while driving cost containment and process improvements across Paycom and Payworks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in corporate payroll, compensation, benefits, HR analytics, or total rewards.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems; Paycom experience strongly preferred. Payworks experience preferred.
• Experience managing self-insured health insurance plans
• Strong Excel skills include VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, and data formulas.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll and benefits preferred.
• Ability to synthesize raw claims and financial data into actionable insights.
• Manage confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle weekly payroll processing through Paycom for U.S. and Payworks for Canadian employees.
• Audit complex payroll data for accuracy, including overtime, shift premiums, deductions, and earnings codes.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, performing root-cause analysis.
• Prepare payroll reports, including general ledger reconciliations, variance analysis, and regular payroll tax or garnishment compliance audits.
• Direct the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of self-funded health and welfare benefit programs.
• Lead yearly enrollment activities and employee communications.
• Support administration of U.S. 401(k) and Canadian RRSP plans.
