Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Sr. Principal DevOps Engineer (Cloud) to deploy and manage on-premises cloud clusters at Schriever Space Force Base, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 8+ years of related work experience, or Master’s with 6+ years; or 12 years as alternative to a degree.
• Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher at time of application.
• Active Top Secret security clearance at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage on-premises cloud clusters using Nutanix and/or Red Hat OpenShift for mission-critical environments.
• Scale enterprise Kubernetes clusters with NKP and OpenShift, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation with GitLab, Helm charts, and Kubernetes Operators.
• Use Ansible for automation across virtualized and containerized environments; document baselines and playbooks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate capabilities and improve security and reliability.
