Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal DevOps Engineer to enhance our Space Systems team. The role can be based in Aurora, CO, Morrisville, NC or Sacramento, CA, supporting rapid capability maturation and automated CI/CD pipelines.

You will drive automation, tooling, and infrastructure for scalable deployment, monitoring, and secure operations in an Agile environment while collaborating with developers and vendors. A TS clearance and polygraph are required.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance at time of application with SCI access
• Active CI Polygraph at time of application
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (3 years with a Master’s); or 9 years additional experience in lieu of a degree
• Must have AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Security+ not required to start but must be obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Plan and evolve processes and infrastructure for rapid capability maturation and deployment
• Integrate development pipelines with test-driven development, CI/CD frameworks
• Define and implement build, deployment, provisioning, and monitoring standards
• Ensure SCM, code quality, and code coverage with automated testing in CI/CD
• Collaborate with Agile teams to automate deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management
• Create scripts to automate provisioning and management tasks
• Work with dev teams to build automated CI/CD systems
• Coordinate with vendors and IT staff for issue resolution
• Monitor and support all installed systems and infrastructure
• Develop scripts to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Contribute to design of information and operational support systems
• Install, configure, test, and maintain OS, apps, and management tools
• Oversee security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Evaluate app performance and resolve bottlenecks with developers
