Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Bellevue, OH is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer to own end-to-end NPI from RFQ to production, design tooling and fixtures in CAD, and drive process development on the shop floor.

You will manage BOMs in ERP, establish routings and standards, perform tooling tryouts, optimize OEE, and coordinate with vendors for capital equipment purchases while collaborating with the tooling department lead.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Minimum of five years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Tooling design experience.
• Experience determining manufacturability of parts.
• Experience completing the RFQ process.
• Experience with BOM creation in an ERP system.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience with 2D and/or 3D software.
• Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end NPI ownership from RFQ through production launch.
• Create 3D CAD models, tooling, fixtures, and documentation; validate via metal-forming simulation.
• Maintain accurate BOMs, routings, work centers, and standard cycle times in the ERP system.
• Perform tooling tryouts, root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement to reduce scrap and downtime.
• Scope and manage capital equipment purchases; coordinate with external vendors from selection through installation.
