Job summary

Aspiring Tooling Design Engineer position in Bellevue, OH, seeks an experienced professional to own tooling design, capital equipment projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work with the Tooling Department Lead and report to a Director in a hands-on environment with casual culture and accessible leadership.

Requirements include a technical degree and at least five years in tooling design within manufacturing, plus experience with CAD, ERP BOMs, RFQ processes, and blueprint

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of tooling design experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with BOM creation in ERP and RFQ processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and work with 2D/3D software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end NPI from RFQ to production launch, evaluating customer models, defining manufacturing sequences, and estimating cycle times.
• Create 3D CAD models, tooling, fixtures, and documentation; validate with metal-forming simulation.
• Maintain BOMs, routings, work centers, standard cycle times in ERP for shop-floor execution.
• Perform tooling tryouts, root-cause analysis, and drive OEE improvements.
• Scope and manage capital equipment purchases and coordinate with external vendors.
