Unknown in Bellevue, OH is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer to lead end-to-end product introductions, CAD tooling design, and ERP BOM maintenance. The role requires collaboration with the Tooling Department Lead and frequent interaction with manufacturing on the floor.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in tooling design, read blueprints, and experience with RFQ processes, BOM creation, and 2D/3D CAD software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Minimum of five years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Tooling design experience.
• Experience determining manufacturability of parts.
• Experience completing the RFQ (request for quotes) process.
• Experience with BOM (bill of material) creation in an ERP system.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience with 2D and/or 3D software.
• Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end NPI ownership from RFQ through production launch.
• Create CAD tooling and fixtures with 2D/3D software and document designs.
• Maintain BOMs, routings, work centers, and standard cycle times in ERP.
• Perform tooling tryouts, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Scope and manage capital equipment projects with vendors from selection to install.
