Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with formal apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment, and tool steels.
• Experience operating precision machinery (lathes, mills, grinders, EDM).
• Proficient with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) and gauging devices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges.
• Repair and maintain existing tooling to ensure production efficiency.
• Operate mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs.
• Interpret blueprints, scheCAD models, and technical drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues during manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool design and performance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
