Job summary

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED.
Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training.
3–5 years of Tool and Die Maker experience.
Proficiency interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of metals and machining characteristics.
Ability to operate manual and CNC machining equipment.

Responsibilities

Design and build new dies, tools, and fixtures.
Repair and maintain existing dies and tooling.
Operate mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs.
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models for precision components.
Perform preventative maintenance on tools and dies.
Troubleshoot tooling issues during production.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize tool design and processes.
