Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a certified Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment, and various machining processes.
• Demonstrated ability to operate precision measuring tools and equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC machining operations.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and maintain dies, molds, fixtures, and gauges.
• Operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool performance and part quality.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool designs and manufacturing processes.
