Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of milling, turning, grinding, and EDM processes.
• Proficient use of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, alter, and repair tools, dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures.
• Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications.
• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
• Perform precision measurements using a variety of inspection equipment to ensure conformity to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool performance and manufacturing processes.
• Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tools based on application requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
