Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Mason, MI is seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker to join a network of leading manufacturers. This role focuses on designing tooling, dies, and fixtures, and requires hands-on operation of mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs.

You will read blueprints and CAD models, perform precision measurements with micrometers, calipers, height gauges and CMMs, and collaborate with engineers to optimize tooling.

Qualifications

• Formal apprenticeship in Tool and Die Making or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in design, fabrication, and repair of progressive dies, fixtures.
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints, schematics and CAD models (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong GD&T understanding and application.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds intricate tooling, dies, and fixtures.
• Operates mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs.
• Interprets blueprints and CAD models for part specifications.
• Performs precision measurements with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs.
• Troubleshoots and repairs tooling to maintain production efficiency.
• Selects materials and heat treatments for tooling components.
• Collaborates with engineers and production staff to optimize tooling designs.
