The Pivot Group Network is actively seeking experienced Tool and Die Makers for Charlotte, MI, to lead tool design, build and maintenance for partner manufacturers. You’ll interpret blueprints and set up CNC/manual tooling, ensuring precision and reliability in production processes.

Qualifications

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency operating manual and CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders, EDM).
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and material properties.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new dies, tools, and fixtures.
• Repair and maintain existing production tooling.
• Perform precision grinding, machining, and fitting of tool components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues to minimize downtime.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to plan fabrication processes.
• Operate a variety of manual and CNC machine tools, including mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
