Qualifications
- Apprenticeship or equivalent 4+ years in tool and die making.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and drawings.
- Experience with manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders, EDMs.
- Knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment and materials.
- Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
- Understanding of GD&T principles.
Responsibilities
- Design and build dies, fixtures, and gauges.
- Repair and maintain tooling and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues with progressive dies and stamping.
- Perform precision grinding, machining, and heat treating.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, CAD models for tooling needs.
- Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, EDMs.
