Job summary

Casa de Montecristo in Whippany, NJ is seeking a tobacconist to deliver world-class guest experiences in the smoke lounges and humidor, showcasing products and driving upsell opportunities.

You will serve as a Casa de Montecristo brand ambassador, build customer relationships, and communicate product benefits while working toward sales KPIs. This role supports store operations and adheres to SOPs and regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail, hospitality or other service-centric environment.
• POS and/or computer skills needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (night, weekends, holidays).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Hands on team player with a strong work-ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide a world-class guest experience in the humidor and smoking lounges through exemplary service and selling skills
• Serve as a Casa de Montecristo brand ambassador
• Build relationships with customers
• Communicate product features, benefits, and promotional information
• Work toward sales and KPI goals as a trusted, successful tobacconist
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Casa de Montecristo products
• Assist with complete store operations and execute corporate initiatives timely, efficiently, and resource-wise
• Follow Casa de Montecristo policies, SOPs, and state and local regulations
• Maintain visual and cleanliness standards to support the brand image
• Ensure a comfortable, responsible, and safe environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
