Tatsu-Ya is seeking a To-Go Specialist for our new Houston Bellaire location to ensure accurate pickup orders and uphold hospitality standards.

You will verify order details, pack ramen, sides, bombs, and utensils, perform final quality checks, and coordinate with BOH/FOH to manage ticket flow and waits. This role supports fast-paced service while maintaining food safety and presentation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid Food Handlers certification (TABC only if required by location).
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet pickup guests promptly and verify order details with a friendly handoff.
• Ensure all to-go items are packed correctly and complete (ramen, sides, garnishes, utensils, drinks).
• Perform final quality checks on every order (broth levels, packaging, labeling, presentation).
• Coordinate with BOH and FOH to manage ticket flow, rush orders, and accurate wait times.

What is the job?

As a To-Go Specialist, you play a critical role in delivering an exceptional ramen experience for all pickup and third-party orders. You are the final quality check point between the kitchen and the guest, ensuring every order is accurate, organized, and packed to Tatsu-Ya standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet pickup guests promptly, verify order details, and provide a friendly, efficient handoff
• Ensure all to-go items—including ramen, sides, bombs, garnishes, utensils, and drinks—are packed correctly and completely
• Perform final quality checks on every order, including broth levels, packaging integrity, labeling, and presentation
• Coordinate closely with BOH and FOH teams to manage ticket flow, rush orders, and accurate wait times
• Maintain an organized and clearly labeled to-go staging area and pickup shelf
• Monitor and restock to-go supplies such as bowls, bags, stickers, utensils, ramekins, and labels
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including tablet setup, station organization, and cleaning
• Maintain cleanliness and follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols
• Work with urgency and purpose to support high-volume service while maintaining accuracy and hospitality
