Job summary

Responsibilities

• Manages the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and provide ongoing training and formal appraisals for direct reports.
• Maintain effective work schedules to meet online order traffic and minimize customer inconvenience.
• Provide leadership to promote Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders and out-of-stocks are handled properly.
• Ensure return-to-stock items are handled promptly, especially refrigerated items.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through prudent ordering and care for supplies.
• Understand and use company tools like ACIS, scheduling and reporting systems.
• Maintain sanitation, safety and appearance of the department.
• Meet schedules, sales, wages and hiring requirements to manage To Go operations.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practices.
• Maintain security standards.
• Complete CBT and training courses.
• Recognize accomplishments and provide constructive counseling.
• Must meet physical requirements, with or without accommodations.
• Support Front End operations as needed.
• Greeting customers, taking orders to their car when possible.
• Retrieve shopping carts and manage cart corrals.
• Report equipment malfunctions to management.
