Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and learn technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Certified Food Safety Manager or accreditation within the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provides ongoing performance management.
• Maintain effective work schedules for Food Lion To Go associates to meet business traffic requirements.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Proactively partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders are handled properly.
• Ensure return-to-stock items are handled promptly, especially refrigerated and perishable items.
• Role model outstanding, friendly customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and care for supplies and equipment.
• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, and business information systems.
• Perform duties to ensure department appearance, quality, sanitation and safety standards.
• Complete scheduling, sales, wage percent, interviewing, training, and other management tasks.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company guidelines.
• Maintain security standards and complete CBT training and related courses.
• Provide recognition and constructive counseling to boost customer satisfaction and sales.
• Must meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.
• Support Front End operations as needed, greet customers and assist with orders.
