Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a leader to manage Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training, and developing department associates to deliver exceptional customer service. The role focuses on scheduling, supervision, inventory control, and ensuring safety and cleanliness across the department.

The position requires strong leadership, knowledge of store operations, and the ability to coordinate with department managers to meet business goals and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Accredited by a recognized food safety program or able to obtain accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and conducts performance appraisals.
• Maintain effective work schedules for To Go associates to meet online order traffic.
• Provide leadership to promote Guiding Principles, Core Values and Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Partner with department managers to handle fresh orders and out-of-stock items.
• Ensure proper handling of returns to stock, including refrigeration needs.
• Model outstanding customer service and apply product knowledge to meet customer needs.
