Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific functions.
• Accreditation as a Certified Food Safety Manager or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct formal appraisals for direct reports.
• Maintain effective work schedules to meet online order traffic.
• Provide leadership aligned with company values and strategic goals.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders and manage out-of-stock items.
• Ensure proper handling of returns-to-stock, especially perishable items.
• Provide exceptional customer service and offer solutions meeting customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and equipment care.
• Utilize company tools like ACIS, scheduling, and CAO for business information.
