Job summary

Food Lion in Cayce, SC is seeking a Store Leader to oversee Food Lion To Go operations, hire and train department staff, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction while maintaining store standards.

You will coordinate schedules, manage performance, control expenses, and work with department managers to meet inventory and safety goals, delivering friendly service and efficient online order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or attend company training and achieve accreditation within 90 days; accreditation must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Manages Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provide ongoing performance management, training and formal appraisals.
• Maintain effective work schedules for Food Lion To Go associates to meet online order demand.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to reflect company Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Proactively partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders, especially out-of-stocks are handled properly.
• Ensure return-to-stock items are managed promptly, especially refrigerated and perishable items.
• Role model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment.
• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, ordering (CAO), and business information systems.
• Perform duties to ensure department appearance, quality, variety, workplace safety, food safety and sanitation.
• Understand scheduling, sales, projections, wage percent, interviewing, hiring, training, and other items to manage To Go operations.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; report accidents per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practices and maintain security standards.
• Complete CBT, training packets and training aids; provide recognition and feedback to improve customer satisfaction and store sales.
• Meet physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodations.
