Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers seeks an Early Learning / TK Program Leader (Jr. Rangers Club Leader) to guide a club of about 20 children after school hours in Echo Park, Pico Union, and Koreatown.

The role supports a positive, inclusive learning environment, plans engaging activities, tracks attendance, and collaborates with the Site Coordinator to meet program goals. Part-time hours and a 1:00–5:00/6:00 PM schedule apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree in Child Development or a related field is preferred.
• 6 months experience supervising a group of early education aged children in a school or recreational setting or 6 units in early education / child development.
• Availability Monday through Friday, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Experience in expanded learning programs, after-school programs, or youth recreation settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe and supportive environment for students, both physically and emotionally.
• Promote an inclusive, welcoming culture that values diversity among participants, staff, and families.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities supporting whole-child development and social-emotional skills.
• Maintain accurate student attendance records and participate in required trainings.
