Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking an Early Learning / TK Program Leader (Jr. Rangers Club Leader) to manage a club of about 20 children in Monterey Park, Rosemead, and San Gabriel, CA.

The position supports 1:00 PM–5:00/6:00 PM programming with a focus on safe, inclusive, and engaging activities. The ideal candidate has experience in expanded learning or after-school programs, strong communication skills, and a High School Diploma or GED, with a preference for an Associate degree in Child

Qualifications

• Experience in expanded learning programs, after-school settings, or youth recreation environments are preferred.
• Ability to promote a safe, supportive, inclusive environment for diverse youth.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with youth, families, and staff.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to program procedures and safety protocols.
• Must be able to pass an assessment evaluating basic math, reading comprehension, and spelling.
• Availability Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM–6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for students and families.
• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with whole-child development.
• Monitor attendance and participation to ensure consistent engagement.
• Collaborate with staff and the Site Coordinator to plan events and celebrate participant achievements.
• Submit program materials timely and adhere to budget guidelines.
• Participate in required trainings and field trips as assigned.
