Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers seeks a part-time Early Learning / TK Program Leader (Jr. Rangers Club Leader) to guide a club of about 20 youth in a safe, inclusive after-school setting. Hours are 1:00 PM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with locations in Monterey Park, Rosemead, and San Gabriel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months experience supervising a group of early education aged children.
• Availability Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM–6:00 PM.
• Experience in expanded learning programs or after-school settings preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency; willing to learn new technologies.
• Must pass assessment evaluating math, reading comprehension, and spelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe and supportive environment for students, physically and emotionally.
• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities supporting whole-child development.
• Monitor attendance and ensure consistent engagement in activities.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, staff and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with site coordinator and supervisors to plan events and celebrations.
• Attend required professional development and trainings, totaling ~15 hours across weekends and intersession days.
