Job summary

Oakland Unified School District Academics and Instructional Innovation is seeking an Early Literacy Tutor for Think College Now (2026-27). The position is part-time with 6 hours per day, 10 months per year, focusing on TK–2 literacy skills and data-driven instruction.

Qualifications

• Fluent English is required for instruction and communication with staff and students.
• Strong interest in education and helping early readers develop literacy skills.
• Experience with data tracking or reporting is preferred, including basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide data-driven literacy instruction and intervention for TK–2 students.
• Collaborate with teachers and coaches to plan schedules and monitor progress.
• Conduct small group tutoring and one-on-one sessions daily as assigned.
• Record student progress in an online database and/or Excel weekly.
