Job summary

Global Family School Elementary in Oakland seeks an Early Literacy Reading Tutor for a 6-hour daily, .80 FTE position. The tutor will support TK–2 students with evidence-based reading instruction and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities include data collection, collaboration with staff, and regular data entry. Requires strong English skills, a high school diploma, and the ability to work in a school setting. Part-time, non-exempt position with potential for ongoing assignment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Speak, read, write and understand English fluently.
• Computer skills, including navigation of online database systems and e-mail.
• Energetic, results-oriented, student-focused with planning and time management.
• Must be 18 years old or older.

Responsibilities

• Attend SEEDS of Early Learning trainings and SIPPS Training.
• Provide data-driven literacy instruction to TK–2 students.
• Collaborate with teachers to set schedules and report progress.
• Record student progress in online database or Excel weekly.
