State of South Carolina DMV seeks a Titling & Licensing Specialist I to support the St. George Branch Office. You will process licenses, registrations and IDs, manage business customer needs, and ensure compliance with SC DMV policies.

The role requires a high school diploma plus clerical experience, familiarity with the Phoenix System, and the ability to handle payments and outreach to customers. Local travel not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus clerical experience.
• Before being certified to administer CDL knowledge skill tests must complete a formal CDL test examiner trainer course.
• Must complete a nationwide criminal background check including fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Issue drivers' licenses, permits, and IDs for all classes and titles, including special cases like repossessed or rebuilt vehicles.
• Handle licensing, insurance issues, and dealer verifications for business customers like banks and liens.
• Process motor vehicle registrations, research suspensions, and issue dealership licenses.
• Verify eligibility per SC DMV guidelines and policies; administer CDL knowledge tests.
• Collect fees, reconcile daily reports, and manage receipts and payments; maintain records.
