South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a Titling & Licensing Specialist I to serve customers at the St. George Branch. Responsibilities include issuing licenses, titles, and registrations; handling fees; and assisting with DMV processes in a fast-paced office.

The role emphasizes accuracy, knowledge of SC DMV policies, and the ability to work with banks, lienholders, and dealerships. A high school diploma and clerical experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and handling public interactions.
• Ability to verify documents and maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail when processing licenses and registrations.

Responsabilités

• Examines, accepts, prepares, enters and prints documents for drivers' licenses, permits, IDs, registrations, titles and related items.
• Manages business customer needs (banks, lienholders, dealerships) for licensing and insurance verification.
• Processes motor vehicle registration requests and researches suspension inquiries.
• Determines service eligibility based on SC laws and DMV policy.
• Administers knowledge tests for various classes of licenses.
• Verifies eye tests and reviews applications for fraud and license restrictions.
• Answers inquiries about driver, vehicle, registration, titling and insurance requirements; directs customers.
• Operates equipment and software to issue credentials and assist customers.
• Collects fees and donations, reconciles daily reports, and handles receipts.
