The Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) in North Charleston is seeking a Titling & Licensing Specialist for a temporary role supporting the local career fair and DMV services. You will handle driver licenses, vehicle registrations, and related transactions in a fast-paced, public-facing office.

You will verify documents, assist business customers, conduct knowledge tests, and ensure compliance with SC laws. Training on the Phoenix System and related hardware is provided.

Qualificações

• A high school diploma or equivalent plus clerical experience.
• Must complete CDL test examiner trainer course and examination.
• Must pass nationwide criminal background check including fingerprints.

Responsabilidades

• Examine, prepare, enter and print documents for drivers' licenses, permits, IDs, registrations and titles.
• Manage needs of business customers (banks, lienholders, insurance companies, dealerships).
• Process motor vehicle registration requests and verify credentials.
• Determine services eligibility per SC legislation and DMV policy.
• Administer knowledge tests for various CDL and regular licenses.
• Verify eye screening and review applications for fraud or license restrictions.
• Answer inquiries and direct customers to appropriate offices.
• Operate camera system and SCDMV software to issue credentials.
• Collect fees, reconcile reports, and handle cash, cards, checks or money orders.
• Perform related duties including IRP/IFTA and LiveScan transactions.
