Job summary

The South Carolina DMV seeks a Titles and Registrations Specialist II to support the Vehicle Services/Titles & Registration team at SCDMV Headquarters in Blythewood, SC. You will process complex transactions, respond to customer inquiries, and ensure accurate data entry and record management.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn DMV policies quickly. This role may require extended hours and occasional lifting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete a nationwide criminal background check including fingerprinting.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient in basic computer usage and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Process and review transactions using the Phoenix system (EVR, ELT, Biennial registrations, NMVTIS-related tasks).
• Respond to routine customer inquiries via phone, email, or mail.
• Advise customers on required actions, payments and documentation for transactions; resolve issues by researching records.
• Maintain tracking and cash drawer; reconcile transaction reports and mail flow.
• Review documents for accuracy and prepare for scanning; perform related duties as needed.
