Job summary

First American is seeking a Business Process Owner to optimize the title insurance lifecycle from order opening through policy issuance. You will define automation, system enhancements, and integrations to balance automation with human input, while partnering with technology and product teams.

The role focuses on cross-functional collaboration, data-driven improvements, and scalable process governance to deliver measurable outcomes across geographies and business segments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the functional area.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
• Experience with title production systems (Ignite, FAST, SoftPro, ResWare, RamQuest, Qualia, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Own analysis and optimization of defined process domains within the title lifecycle.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to reimagine workflows across the lifecycle.
• Translate operational needs into scalable, digital-first solutions with tech teams.
• Utilize production data and root-cause analysis to measure performance and refine processes.
• Develop, maintain, and govern standardized process documentation (SOPs, swim lanes).
• Embed compliance and regulatory requirements into process design and governance.
• Serve as a process domain expert across business units and geographies.
• Support rollout and institutionalization of optimized processes across segments.
