Praxis Title & Escrow is growing and seeking an experienced Title Agent to join its team. The company has written over $1 billion in title insurance, with a focus on commercial real estate, handling multi-property and multi-state closings across asset types such as retail, land, mixed-use, multifamily, and office properties. Praxis works with developers, private funds, family offices, and individual investors and is focused on delivering a responsive, service-driven approach to complex real estate transactions. This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be located in Virginia and must hold an active Virginia Title Agent license.

Position Overview:

The Title Agent will support commercial real estate title and closing transactions, with a particular focus on complex and multi-state matters. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and addressing title matters, coordinating with attorneys, escrow professionals, clients, lenders, and other transaction parties, and helping ensure transactions move efficiently from opening through closing. The Title Agent will also serve as Praxis’s Agent of Record in Virginia, making an active Virginia Title Agent license a requirement for the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and manage title matters related to commercial real estate transactions, including land, retail, office, industrial, multifamily, and multi-property portfolio transactions.
• Review title commitments, exception documents, surveys, organizational documents, and other transaction materials to identify and address title requirements.
• Coordinate with attorneys, lenders, buyers, sellers, brokers, escrow officers, and other parties to facilitate accurate and timely commercial real estate closings.
• Support multi-state commercial transactions while ensuring compliance with applicable title insurance, underwriting, and closing requirements.
• Serve as Praxis’s Title Agent of Record in Virginia and maintain required licensing and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Title Agent license is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of title insurance experience, with a strong focus on commercial real estate transactions.
• Experience handling complex, multi-state, and/or multi-property commercial real estate transactions.
• Strong knowledge of title review, title insurance, escrow, and commercial real estate closing practices.
