Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is looking for a front desk/service writer to greet customers, explain tire and vehicle services, and manage service tickets. You will coordinate with technicians, communicate timelines and costs, and handle payments and paperwork at service completion.

The role emphasizes maintaining organized records, keeping the front counter welcoming, and upholding our service standards across all customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Experience in sales/service writing or customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS/service management systems.
• Knowledge of automotive or commercial tire services a plus.
• Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Explain services, promotions, and offerings such as free inspections.
• Create and manage service tickets in the system.
• Coordinate repair schedules with technicians and provide status updates.
