Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. in Pooler, GA is seeking a Sales Representative to grow market share in the region by servicing existing accounts and expanding the customer base through cold calling and strategic planning.

The role requires 4 years of selling experience, strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes) and a proven ability to work autonomously in an unstructured environment. A clean driving record and reliable transportation are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and some college highly preferred.
• Computer skills include Word, Excel and Lotus Notes/email.
• 4 years prior selling experience.
• Prior customer service experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly sales calls servicing existing customers and cold calling potential customers (4–5 calls per week).
• Prepare weekly sales and call reports.
• Develop monthly strategy for sales calls and travel calendar.
• Conduct area market analysis of top accounts including dealers, contractors and builders.
• Research area market product data to determine commonly purchased types, styles and sizes for sales strategy.
• Grow market share by increasing sales while maintaining product margins.
• Complete Positive Action Forms for all cold calls resulting in a display or sale.
• Influence and negotiate to place displays in showrooms.
• Conduct client follow-ups via phone, letters, or emails.
• Establish and maintain client files and follow up on programs and projects.
• Provide PK seminars to customers.
• Utilize On Demand reporting to achieve sales objectives.
• Perform other duties as required.
