Job summary

MSI Tile is seeking a Sales Director to grow sales and margins across tile product lines within an assigned geographic territory, serving retailer and dealer networks.

The role requires building relationships, training store personnel, analyzing market data, and traveling up to 80% locally with occasional national/international travel. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in channel distribution sales in the tile/hard flooring industry are required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2+ years in channel distribution sales.
• Minimum 2 years in natural stone, tile or hard flooring industries.
• Strong math skills for discounts, commissions and percentages.
• Ability to determine solutions for customers.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with current and potential customers within assigned territory.
• Assist customers by providing knowledge and training to store personnel to present products and negotiate with consumers.
• Understand products, competition and positioning to overcome factors.
• Manage displays, samples and selling tools for customer availability.
• Understand retail business financials to advise dealers on pricing, promotions and ROI.
• Quote prices, discuss credit terms and prepare sales contracts.
• Estimate delivery dates based on schedules.
• Review and analyze sales reports to identify potential in territory.
• Utilize marketing tools to broaden reach and promote products.
• Travel 40%–80% locally, occasionally nationally or internationally.
• Attend trade shows as required.
