Job summary

MSI, a leading flooring tile and countertop supplier, seeks a Sales Representative to drive growth within an assigned geographic territory, focusing on retailers and dealers. You will build relationships, train store personnel, and promote MSI products across the territory.

The role requires strong sales, negotiation, and math skills, with travel up to 90% and a base salary between $60,000 and $65,000 plus potential performance-based earnings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Previous sales experience is a plus.
• Industry experience is beneficial but not required.
• Strong math skills for discounts, commissions, percentages.
• Self-motivated and results-driven, able to work independently or in teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with customers within designated territories to drive sales of MSI’s tile products.
• Provide product knowledge and training to store personnel to aid presentations and negotiations.
• Understand products, competition and strategies to position MSI favorably.
• Manage displays, samples and selling tools to ensure availability.
• Consult with dealers on pricing, promotions, and ROI; discuss terms and contracts.
• Quote prices, discuss terms, and prepare sales contracts for orders.
• Estimate delivery dates based on schedules.
• Analyze sales data to identify opportunities with customers.
• Utilize catalogs and vendor materials to expand territory reach.
• Research customer needs and market trends.
• Resolve delivery, returns and credit claims.
• Attend trade shows as required.
• Willing to travel up to 90% with local travel and occasional overnight trips.
• Perform additional duties as required.
