Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a training-focused role to develop Product Sales Specialists and ensure customers receive exceptional service and product information in our Lafayette stores. The position emphasizes coaching staff, merchandising standards, and customer-centric experience.

The candidate should have strong communication, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act in a manner consistent with company values.
• Comply with safe lifting practices and SOPs.
• Drive and teach the basic P’s of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
• Provide direction to product sales specialists to ensure high-quality customer service.
• Complete all product specialist certification courses.
• Understand merchandise and installation.
• Manage merchandising, pricing, and department organization.
• Communicate SOPs to associates in a timely manner.
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification.
• Notify management of inventory needs.
• Assist showroom floor processing of merchandise.
• Validate product placement and pricing.
• Greet customers courteously and assist with questions and selections.
• Process purchases and refunds at POS.
• Present and teach how-to classes to customers.
