Job summary

NHC is seeking a Tier II Data Technician to join our team and serve as a key escalation point for advanced troubleshooting of data issues. You will manage tickets, collaborate with carriers, and ensure timely resolution while supporting a range of equipment, including Juniper, Ubiquiti, and Cradlepoint/Peplink devices.

The role requires strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced NOC environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on data networking experience in a NOC or similar.
• Solid understanding of IP routing, subnetting, and basic firewall functions.
• Experience with Juniper, Ubiquiti, Cradlepoint or Peplink hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound/outbound data-related support requests, tickets, and communications.
• Troubleshoot Layer 1–3 network issues including routing, switching, firewall rules, IP addressing, and WAN/LAN connectivity.
• Coordinate with carriers and vendors to resolve service-impacting outages or issues.
• Monitor alerts and ticket queues, escalate complex issues as needed.
• Document, close, and escalate tickets with clear notes and timelines.
• Participate in shift turnover and daily operations reporting.
• Provide on-call rotation support if required.
