Job summary

Inserso Corporation is seeking Network Support Technicians to provide onsite and remote Tier 2 IT support for DHS customers worldwide. This role covers hardware, software, network diagnostics, cloud and other IT services, with a focus on prompt action to minimize downtime.

You will assist in testing, configuring servers, monitoring backups, and supporting 24x7 LAN operations in a fast-paced environment, including after-hours on-call rotations and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ IT-related support experience, preferably in a helpdesk or customer support role.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for desktop, network, or IT issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN administrator support with installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices and servers.
• Support network-attached devices including PCs, printers, biometric devices, and sensors.
• Support mobile and wireless devices such as smartphones and tablets.
• Assist in testing and applying server configurations and security patches.
• Monitor health of systems and backups, including restore testing.
• Track and update ITSM tickets and provide regular status reports.
• Provide inventory input to the customer’s inventory system.
• Install and maintain video teleconferencing infrastructure.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and special projects.
• Perform cabling in data centers and wiring closets.
• Understand customer needs and contribute to design and deployment of IT systems.
