Job summary

Command Post Technologies, Inc. in Norfolk, VA seeks a Network Engineer Tier-2 to monitor and troubleshoot a multi-site NOSC environment, using SolarWinds and Cisco gear. A TS/SCI clearance is required.

The role focuses on rapid issue resolution, change management, and proactive incident documentation across LAN/WAN networks. You will work shifts 9:30am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-5:00am, collaborating with the NOSC team to maintain situational awareness, notify stakeholders, and ensure timely updates to

Qualifications

• IAT Level II Security Certification required.
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Tier-2 analysis of customer issues, generate trouble tickets and ensure timely resolution.
• Document network events and proactively seek solutions to outages.
• Build and maintain NOSC situational awareness through change-over briefings and logs.
• Use SolarWinds and other tools for network troubleshooting and support.
• Recognize and prioritize network incidents and escalate as needed.
• Notify customers and third-party vendors of issues/outages.
• Document tools, tactics and procedures.
• Troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching, and other LAN/WAN components.
