Job summary
Peraton in Washington, DC is seeking a driven Network Technician to join our Network and Unified Communications Architecture team. You will provide Tier II escalated support, perform in-depth troubleshooting, remote diagnostics, and contribute to the operation and performance of LAN/WAN networks.
The role requires a current TS/SCI clearance, DoD IAT II, and a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience or an equivalent combination.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field with 5+ years of related experience; or equivalent experience.
- DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification.
- CompTIA Network+ certification.
- Experience with Cisco and Juniper devices, VLANs, VPNs, and LAN/WAN technologies.
- Experience in network troubleshooting, routers/switches, and network monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier II escalated support for in-depth troubleshooting and remote diagnostics.
- Evaluate LAN/WAN performance and identify bottlenecks.
- Ensure network performance and availability across data networks.
- Analyze client networks, recommend reconfigurations, and install new hardware.
- Implement Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts and protocols.
