Job summary

QBE, LLC in Quantico, VA seeks a Deskside Technician (TS/SCI Cleared) to serve as the Tier II expert for end-user computing, printing, and classroom technology across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS enclaves.

You will diagnose complex issues, ensure STIG-compliant secure configurations, plan deployments, and drive permanent fixes while supporting a large government user base. Onsite role with up to 10% travel; US citizenship and TS/SCI required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Continuous Evaluation / Continuous Vetting enrollment.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline certification required.
• Experience working independently with limited supervision.
• 3+ years desktop support in an enterprise environment.
• Strong troubleshooting for Windows 10/11, hardware, printers, M365, AD, GPO, networking.
• Experience with MECM/SCCM, Intune, and disk encryption (BitLocker).
• Experience with ITSM ticketing and SLA adherence.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel between sites.
• Shift work 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. ET with after-hours on-call rotation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Tier II diagnostics to identify root cause and impact; decide resolution path.
• Analyze endpoint configurations against baseline and STIGs; implement fixes.
• Plan and execute workstation deployments and hardware refreshes.
• Troubleshoot printers and MFDs; coordinate vendor services as needed.
• Assess classroom readiness and resolve issues in real time.
• Evaluate security impact of configurations and apply remediation.
• Document escalation trends and author knowledge articles.
• Manage hardware lifecycle data and ticket closure with documentation.
